At Shay Murtagh Precast, achieving the right colour, texture, and finish is a critical factor in architectural projects completed by our Evans by Shay Murtagh team.
The image above highlights a selection from our most commonly used architectural mix designs, each finished with an acid-etched process that lightly exposes the aggregate, creating a refined, textured surface. This finish is available in light, medium, or heavy etch levels depending on the design intent.
Our mixes incorporate a range of high-quality aggregates including:
Limestone
Granite
Basalt
Spanish Dolomite
For each design, we maintain detailed historical performance data, concrete cube strength results, and product data sheets to support technical specifications.
Alternative finishes such as polished, grit-blasted, exposed aggregate, or patterned using rubber mould liners are also available to meet a wide variety of architectural visions.
Approximately 80% of our projects utilise the core range of colour and finish options. But when a unique aesthetic is needed, we offer custom mix development—sourcing alternative aggregates and conducting thorough sampling to ensure the final result aligns perfectly with the design brief.
