Our engineering team utilised advanced 3D design capabilities to model the precast elements, ensuring they integrated seamlessly with the requisite 8.5m high firewalls. Speed and accuracy were paramount; the entire precast package was installed on-site in just two days, a testament to the efficiency of off-site manufacturing compared to traditional methods.
Following the rapid installation of the precast components, the site team completed the in-situ slab and sealing works within a week and a half. This hybrid approach allowed for the delivery of durable concrete foundations and containment structures significantly faster than standard timelines. The total project was finalised in just three weeks, finishing well ahead of the scheduled programme.
Upon completion, the bund underwent immediate and successful water testing, verifying the integrity of the seals and concrete quality. This paved the way for the main transformer to be landed on the internal supporting slab without delay.
