At Shay Murtagh Precast, we recently coordinated a specialised transport operation through Merseyside, with the support of local police. On Friday morning (January 5), our team expertly navigated two oversized loads from Seatruck Ferries in Bootle to the M6. The journey, captured in photographs by the ECHO, featured our lorries moving along Derby Road in Bootle around 10 am.
To ensure a smooth operation, traffic into Liverpool was briefly halted for about 10 minutes, allowing our convoy, accompanied by police and specialised escort vehicles, to pass through safely. We’re pleased to report that the Merseyside Police confirmed the disruption to the public was minimal.
